Popular WWE Superstar sends heartbreaking message after Shawn Michaels breaks up his faction

A popular WWE Superstar has broken his silence after his faction was broken up by Shawn Michaels on last night's NXT. Andre Chase sent a heartfelt message to his followers after Chase University officially disbanded on the latest edition of the Tuesday Night Show.

Chase locked horns with Ridge Holland for the number one contender's spot for the NXT Championship. There was an added stipulation that if Andre lost, Chase U would be disbanded.

Shawn Michaels booked Holland to become the number-one contender for Trick Williams' NXT Title. The match will take place at the Deadline PLE. It also meant the end of the road for Chase University as a faction, which included Thea Hail, Duke Hudson, and Riley Osborne.

In a post on X (Twitter), Andre Chase posted a message for all Chase U fans. The 35-year-old thanked everyone who supported the group since its formation in September 2021. The faction won the NXT Tag Team Championship twice.

"And I guess that's the TEACHABLE MOMENT. You guys never needed me. I was the one who always needed y’all. Thank you for everything. I wouldn’t be here without you,'' Chase wrote.

Shawn Michaels comments on his future with NXT amid CM Punk's interest in his position

Shawn Michaels currently works as WWE's Senior Vice President of Talent Development and Creative. The Showstopper is also in charge of creative on NXT, overseeing the future of the company.

Meanwhile, CM Punk has spent a lot of time at the Performance Center this year, working with the young talents who grew up watching him. The Second City Saint has also previously expressed interest in taking over HBK's position at the developmental brand.

Speaking to The Ringer last month, The Heartbreak Kid addressed his future and the possibility of Punk being the head of NXT in the future.

"Whether it's CM Punk or anyone that has a passion for it, I would absolutely understand it because it happened to me. This place is infectious. The environment here at NXT and at the Performance Center down here in Orlando is unlike any other culture in the entire business," Michaels said. [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]

At the age of 59, Shawn Michaels is nowhere close to retirement age, and CM Punk is still an active WWE Superstar. It will be interesting to see if The Best in The World replaces HBK in the future.
