Popular WWE Superstar spotted with tag partner and Cody Rhodes after two-month hiatus
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes appears to be a favorite not only among fans but also his peers. He is seen alongside another popular name on social media earlier today, who was last seen on May 4.
At Backlash, Asuka and Kairi Sane dropped the Women's Tag Team Championship. The Empress subsequently took time off owing to a knee injury. She is not expected to be back in the ring for a prolonged period of time. However, the former Women's Champion is listed for WWE's upcoming tour in Japan. Asuka is expected to join Damage CTRL as the active trio will face Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, and Japanese legend Meiko Satomura.
On Instagram, Kairi Sane shared a post in which she, Asuka and The American Nightmare are posing. You can go to her Instagram story here.
Damage CTRL reigned supreme and grew over the course of eight months, culminating at WrestleMania XL. On the grand stage, Iyo Sky dropped the Women's Championship to Bayley. A month later, Kabuki Warriors lost their belts, too. They have since moved to RAW.
The Bloodline appears to have Cody Rhodes cornered on WWE SmackDown
One by one, Solo Sikoa and clan are taking out every wrestler on the roster who is siding with Cody Rhodes. By the time SummerSlam rolls around on August 3, The American Nightmare might be left alone to fend off The Bloodline.
Last week, they decimated Randy Orton. This week, it was Kevin Owens who fell prey to the Samoans and Tongans. The former Universal Champion had just got back after an awful couple of days he had to spend with his family owing to his mother's health condition.
The American Nightmare ended the longest reign of any WWE Superstar in decades on The Grandest Stage of Them All in April 2024. Since then, he has retained his belt despite some strong opposition in the form of AJ Styles and United States Champion Logan Paul.
Be that as it may, Sikoa is unlike any of the aforementioned names on account of a couple of reasons. He is a Samoan, leading arguably the most dominant faction present today in wrestling, and perhaps more importantly, he is part of a bigger storyline as the return of Roman Reigns looms large.
