Prayers up for former WWE star Dutch Mantell

WWE veteran Dutch Mantell's health has taken a toll. The star's family has reached out for help from fans and other stars from the wrestling industry.

Dutch Mantell has been active as a podcaster on his show, Story Time with Dutch Mantell, following his run in the industry. The 74-year-old veteran previously beat sepsis twice in the past year. Unfortunately, the family's health has been gravely affected, and Dutch's wife and daughter are also struggling.

According to their GoFundMe account, Mantell's wife, Cathy, has been hospitalized eleven times since May, and her daughter, Amanda, has been facing health issues of her own, which haven't been revealed to the public. The veteran needs all the help he can from the wrestling community, as stars and fans can contribute to his GoFundMe page.

"Hey everybody...my daughter started a GoFundMe account because my hospital insurance has reached its limit. Help out if you can. If not, thank you anyway," Mantell wrote.

The entire family's health issues have put them in a financial crisis. The donation goal is 50,000 dollars and around 8,000 has been raised for the family.

Dutch Mantell, aka Zeb Colter, was last seen on WWE TV in 2015

Dutch Mantell has spent nearly fifty years and given an unmeasurable amount of time to the industry. The 74-year-old veteran has worked for several promotions across America and has donned many different roles in the industry.

Mantell had two runs with the Stamford-based promotion and worked as a manager in both stints. In 2013, he returned to WWE and aligned with Jack Swagger. Later, Cesaro joined the fray, and the two became The Real Americans.

After a hiatus from television, he returned to WWE and aligned with Alberto Del Rio, who defeated John Cena to win the United States Championship. In December 2015, Colter made his last appearance as Del Rio ditched him as his manager.

We here at Sportskeeda Wrestling send prayers to Dutch Mantell and his family.
