Prayers up for Hall of Famer and former WWE star Black Bart
Former WWE Superstar Black Bart has been struggling with some serious health issues. Amid concerns about his health, the Texas Wrestling Hall of Famer's family has issued a statement.
Black Bart is one of the most legendary wrestlers to ever set foot inside the squared circle. Throughout the 1980s, he made a huge name in different wrestling promotions before signing with WWE (then WWF) in 1990. During his time with the Stamford-based promotion, Bart wrestled against top names like Dustin Rhodes and The Hart Foundation.
The legend is currently battling liver cancer. Bart's family recently uploaded a heartbreaking video on his official Facebook account. In the caption, they revealed that the real-life Rick Harris was not making progress in rehab. The Harris family further disclosed that Bart did not want to continue chemotherapy as he felt it was doing more harm to his body.
The post also mentioned that the former WWE star had not given up on himself and was trusting God's will.
"Bart was brought home today, he still isn’t able to walk but he isn’t making progress in the rehab so the insurance will not continue to pay for him. He has told me that he doesn’t want any more chemo, he feels that it’s doing more damage than good and I have to back him up on that. He doesn’t feel that he has given up he’s just not putting any more poison in his body. He is completely in God's hands now. God’s will be done," the Facebook post read.

Former WWE star Black Bart asked for prayers from his fans
In March 2023, Black Bart took to his Facebook page to reveal that he was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer and it had spread to his liver.
"Well, I'm not quite sure where to start except to just spit it out the way I usually do. I don't want rumors so here's the truth. I was diagnosed today with stage 4 colon cancer that has also spread to my liver. I am not the kind to just roll over and play dead so you all should know that I will fight it with all I have in me," he wrote.
The legendary WWE wrestler then asked his fans on Facebook to pray for him and promised he would keep them updated on his health.
"Since I am a child of God and He is in my heart always I believe I have a head start. I will see the oncologist next week and start chemotherapy ASAP. The main thing I ask from my Facebook people is for prayer because I believe we can all use extra prayers. I will post updates when I have them," Bart added.
We at Sportskeeda send our best wishes to former WWE star Black Bart and hope he will come out on top in his battle against cancer.
