Prayers up for WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi
WWE Hall of Famer and former Intercontinental Champion Rikishi was forced to cancel an upcoming appearance due to illness. The veteran was set to appear at Nostalgia Con this week but, unfortunately, won't be able to make it to the event.
The WWE Hall of Famer is quite active on his social media handles. He regularly shares updates on his well-being and fan meet-and-greets on his Instagram account.
He was one of several big names scheduled to appear at this week's Nostalgia Con in Houston, Texas. However, according to a new update on the official Instagram page of Nostalgia Con, the real-life Bloodline member's appearance has been canceled due to illness.
Check out the post below:
"We have some good news for one of our guests but some bad news first. Rikishi has fallen ill and was unable to travel. Please wish him a quick recovery. With both wrestlers cancelling due to medical needs, we understand this is a large disappointment for wrestling fans. We still have a great and entertaining group of wrestlers that will be performing live each day. We will be bringing huge wrestling stars to our 2025 show to make up for this late cancellation, that’s a promise."
Rikishi acknowledged the update on his Instagram handle
Shortly after the post was shared on Instagram, the WWE legend took to his Instagram stories to share with his fans. The veteran has been quite active lately and regularly attends conventions and meet-and-greets. He also runs a wrestling podcast and talks about WWE's weekly programming, with most of the focus on his family members.
As of now, he hasn't commented on his canceled appearance or his illness. Here's hoping the WWE Hall of Famer is doing well.
The Sportskeeda Wrestling community sends its best wishes to Rikishi and prays for his quick recovery.
