R-Truth breaks character to praise current WWE champion

R-Truth has been with WWE for over a decade, and the veteran has no plans of slowing down. Recently, Truth broke character and praised The Judgment Day's JD McDonagh.

R-Truth had a strange relationship with The Judgment Day on Monday Night RAW. The veteran believed he had joined the faction and helped the group on countless occasions before the villainous faction knocked some sense into Truth.

While having a conversation with Cody Rhodes on What Do You Wanna Talk About? Truth broke character by praising current World Tag Team Champion JD McDonagh. The veteran hated mentioning it but praised the star's skills inside the square circle alongside Carmelo Hayes:

"There's so many we got. There's a lot of talent back there, man. I hate to say this, man. Like the group that I used to be in, The Judgment Day, you know what I'm saying? A lot of breakout stars. A lot of you haven't seen JD McDonagh, really, really get down. He can really go. Carmelo Hayes's on his way. I'm rooting for him," Truth said. (From 30:00 to 30:30)

R-Truth once removed JD McDonagh out of The Judgment Day on WWE RAW

Last year, R-Truth was one of the names who returned to the Stamford-based promotion alongside Randy Orton and CM Punk at WWE Survivor Series in Chicago.

The veteran joined Monday Night RAW and got inserted into a storyline with The Judgment Day. Later, he believed that he had become an official member and often hung out with other members.

However, he was not a fan of JD McDonagh and often went after the rising star in the faction. After countless beatdowns of Truth, Damian Priest offered him an opportunity if he beats McDonagh.

In return, JD McDonagh would be removed from the group. In December 2023, R-Truth defeated McDonagh in a 34th Street Fight. However, The Judgment Day went back on their word.

Regardless of what transpired, Truth, for a while, got McDonagh out of the group. In May 2024, The Judgment Day ended up winning the World Tag Team Championship from The Awesome Truth.
