R-Truth hilariously mistakes former WWE champion for Kurt Angle

R-Truth is arguably the most hilarious performer on the WWE roster. The veteran performer often gets confused with stars who appear to have physical similarities. He recently mistook a fellow RAW Superstar for former World Champion Kurt Angle.

The name in question is Chad Gable. The American Made leader shares several similarities with the WWE Hall of Famer, which fans often discuss. The former Tag Team Champion has recently started getting the iconic "You Su*k" chants from the audience.

R-Truth recently took to his Instagram account to wish Kurt Angle a happy birthday. He posted a heartfelt message dedicated to the Olympic gold medalist. However, the photograph he shared was of Chad Gable.

"I’ve been a fan for years!!! …Happy Birthday Mr @therealkurtangle πŸ™ŒπŸΏπŸŽ‚πŸŽ‰πŸŽŠπŸŽˆπŸŽπŸ‘πŸΏπŸ™πŸΎ #holidayfeel," Truth wrote.

Chad Gable showed up to confront Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in the opening segment of the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown. The two superstars later squared off in the main event of the show. Although Gable pushed Rhodes to his limit, he could not secure the win.

Former WWE writer mocks R-Truth's rival following RAW

R-Truth is currently involved in a rivalry with fellow RAW Superstar Pete Dunne. The 52-year-old addressed The Bruiserwight by his former name, Butch, which he hates. It led to a match between the two on last week's edition of Monday Night RAW.

However, the match ended within two minutes as Truth rolled up his opponent to secure the win via pinfall. Speaking about the latest edition of Legion of RAW, former WWE head writer Vince Russo mocked the former Butch by calling him Pete 'Chicken Legs' Dunne.

The veteran claimed to have stronger-looking legs when compared to the former NXT UK Champion and added that the latter needed to focus on some leg workouts.

"I swear to God. Pete 'Chicken Legs' Dunne. Can somebody tell that dude to work out his legs? When I as a 64-year-old man have stronger looking legs than Pete Dunne, can somebody please get him to press some weight with his legs, bro?" [From 12:30 onwards]

Given R-Truth rolled up Pete Dunne to win the match, the rivalry between the two might continue during the upcoming editions of Monday Night RAW. It will be interesting to see how things unfold between the two.
