R-Truth sends hilarious message to major WWE star ahead of SmackDown

R-Truth sent a hilarious message to a popular WWE Superstar ahead of the upcoming episode of SmackDown. The star was in action on RAW this week and picked up a big win.

Ahead of tonight's episode of WWE SmackDown, Pete Dunne took to his X (fka Twitter) account t to reveal a hilarious text message he received from R-Truth. The veteran seemingly still cannot wrap his head around the fact that Pete Dunne and Butch are the same person and claimed that someone was impersonating Dunne backstage.

"What's up Pete! It's R-Truth 🙌 Just letting you know... There's a guy named "Butch" impersonating you," he wrote.

Dunne reacted to the hilarious message with a series of question marks as seen in the post below.

Pete Dunne defeated Kofi Kingston in a singles match this past Monday night on RAW. Xavier Woods and Kingston have been teasing a split in recent weeks, and The New Day stars argued during the match.

Dunne capitalized on the distraction and defeated Kingston via pinfall after connecting with the Bitter End.

R-Truth claims John Cena will never retire from WWE

R-Truth recently suggested that John Cena would never retire from in-ring competition.

Cena announced that he would be retiring from the ring in 2025 during his surprise appearance at Money in the Bank earlier this year. The veteran also shared that he will be competing in the Men's Royal Rumble Match next year in Indianapolis.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter, Truth suggested that Cena would always be wrestling because his motto is "never give up". The legend also humorously referred to Cena as his childhood hero despite being older than him.

"Absolutely not. You don't know the motto of my childhood hero? Never Give Up. Retiring is like giving up. I don't see Cena doing that. I don't feel that. Nobody's retiring Cena," he said. [From 4:00 onwards]
