Randy Orton was a "bad apple" and "miserable prick," says WWE veteran, details their current relationship
Randy Orton has been spoken of as one of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time. A Hall of Famer recently talked about his behavior early in his career, and how their relationship developed over time.
Bully Ray is one of the many veterans who worked with Randy Orton in the ring during his early days. The Viper impressed many with his incredible skills in the ring, but not too many were thrilled by his overall attitude.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray noted that there was a dark match between Dudley Boyz and the team of Orton and Batista that left those involved in the contest injured. That left a bad taste in the mouth for the Hall of Famer.
However, he noted that the two men had no heat at the moment and remained good to each other. Bully Ray also turned down an opportunity to talk badly about The Viper in a documentary.
"Me and Randy have squashed all of our issues, all of our problems," Bully Ray said. "Neither one of us want to speak a bad word about one another ever again. We have a nice relationship now. Hugging and kissing when we see each other. But yeah, there were times, as I said before, that he was a bad apple early in his career and that 'miserable prick' thing, as Hunter pointed out, kind of followed him. This is probably the least miserable we've ever seen Randy since he's come back from injury." [H/T - WrestlingInc.]
Bully Ray will return to the WWE ring for a much-hyped match for NXT. He will team up with NXT Champion Trick Williams to face Ethan Page and Ridge Holland at the former ECW arena in Philadelphia.
Randy Orton recently broke several WWE rules at Crown Jewel
Randy Orton has never shied away from getting into trouble in WWE. The controversial star now has his good friend Triple H as the Chief Content Officer of the company.
At Crown Jewel, The Viper was set to face Kevin Owens in a grudge match. However, the match never got going as the two engaged in a brawl that spilled all over the arena.
During the action, Orton attacked WWE official Shawn Daivari. He didn’t stop there, as he hit RAW General Manager Adam Pearce with an RKO soon after. WWE SmackDown GM Nick Aldis was also at hand but chose to stay away from the fight so that Randy Orton wouldn’t get his hands on him.
Nick Aldis has shown no sympathy for his RAW counterpart following Randy Orton’s actions. Instead, he has poked fun at Pearce following the show to increase the rivalry between the two brands.
