Randy Orton broke character after being called out for real-life mistake by Triple H on WWE SmackDown
Randy Orton called out Triple H this week on WWE SmackDown because he wanted to face Kevin Owens at Crown Jewel. He was previously told by Nick Aldis that the match wasn't happening.
In the show's opening segment, The Game made his way out to the ring and was upset that he was forced to have a private discussion in public. The Hall of Famer noted that it was because Randy Orton couldn't show up to work on time.
In response to Triple H's comments, Orton broke character and laughed in the ring since The Viper was actually late to this week's SmackDown tapings.
Orton has been part of WWE for more than two decades and is someone who has maintained his character in several intense moments. However, it seems that Triple H's line may have been unscripted, and that's why the SmackDown star wasn't prepared for it.
Despite seemingly being late to work, Orton was handed the match that he asked for. But Triple H left him with a warning about having to watch his back since Kevin Owens wasn't the same person he had been friends with in recent months.
Randy Orton will take on Kevin Owens at WWE Crown Jewel next weekend
Crown Jewel will take place next weekend live from Saudi Arabia, and it seems that the card is all set after three more matches were added on SmackDown.
Kevin Owens will face off against Randy Orton, LA Knight will defend his United States Championship in a Triple Threat match against Carmelo Hayes and Andrade, while the Women's Tag Team Championship will be on the line in a Fatal Four-Way bout.
Seth Rollins will take on Bronson Reed on the show, and the 2024 Crown Jewel Champions will be determined in Champion vs. Champion matches between Cody Rhodes and Gunther and Nia Jax and Liv Morgan.
This means that currently there are six matches on the card, breaking Triple H's recent five-bout approach.
