Randy Orton confirms a huge first-time-ever match against popular WWE Superstar
On this week's edition of WWE NXT, Randy Orton was confirmed to have a match on the October 8 edition of the show. Orton will be making his NXT in-ring debut.
This past week on SmackDown, Orton returned to the ring for the first time since losing to Gunther at Bash in Berlin. He teamed up with Kevin Owens to defeat the team of Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. At the Bash in Berlin Premium Live Event in Germany, The Viper failed in his efforts to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
On the October 8 edition of WWE NXT on The CW, Orton is confirmed to step into the ring for a singles match. On Twitter/X, he confirmed he will face Je'Von Evans in a first-time-ever singles match.
"Hey Je’Von - Want to know who your opponent is? See you in St. Louis on October 8th, kid," wrote Orton.

In late 2023, Evans made his NXT debut. At NXT Heatwave, he unsuccessfully challenged for the NXT Championship in a Fatal Four-Way Match won by Ethan Page, who dethroned Trick Williams to become the new NXT Champion.
Evans' upcoming showdown against Randy Orton will arguably be the biggest match of the 20-year-old's professional wrestling career so far.
