Heading into Bash in Berlin, Orton is finally getting the rematch against Gunther that he deserved. There was controversy at the end of their King of the Ring match to determine who would be the next contender for the World Heavyweight title. Gunther came away as the official winner, but Orton's shoulders were not on the mat for the finish, leading to accusations about Gunther's win.
Triple H mentioned how the two stars would face each other again in a rematch in the future, and while fans expected them to do so before SummerSlam, it didn't happen. Instead, Orton has made the Ring General his target since SummerSlam, appearing on RAW, and the two will now battle at Bash in Berlin.
During his promo, Randy Orton defended himself from Gunther's insults, saying that he had accomplished everything there was to achieve inside a WWE ring and outside it, too. He brought up his large family, talking about how his children and his beautiful wife were waiting at home. Kim Orton has now reposted a clip of the moment on her Instagram Stories.
