Randy Orton scheduled for WWE appearance despite recent announcement

WWE Superstar, Randy Orton, is set to make an appearance at an upcoming NXT show despite the recent announcement regarding a change of venue. The Stamford-based company made the massive change following the 14-time world champion's return to SmackDown last week.

Last month, Shawn Michaels announced that the first two NXT shows on the new network will take place outside the Performance Center. The wrestling promotion announced that the two episodes will air live from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois, and the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri. It was also announced that CM Punk and Randy Orton would make appearances at the shows in their respective hometowns.

However, the global juggernaut recently changed the venue for the second NXT show, relocating it to The Factory at The District in Chesterfield, Missouri. The sudden change left several fans wondering whether The Apex Predator would be on the show scheduled for October 8 after graphics for the show without Orton were shared. However, the latest version on WWE's official website includes the third-generation superstar.

Wrestling veteran shares his honest take on Randy Orton's loss to Gunther at WWE Bash in Berlin

Randy Orton challenged Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at the Bash in Berlin Premium Live Event. He put forth an impressive performance but fell short as The Ring General retained the title in a hard-fought battle.

Speaking on his The Jim Cornette Experience podcast after the show, the wrestling veteran stated the match was great, but he disliked the ending. Cornette believes that Gunther should have won the contest via pinfall instead of the submission finish.

"Great match [but] I hate these stationary finishes. I know they were still fighting for it and everything, but that's another one of these modern tropes as they say that it [is] just when you're in that that same place in that same general position for that long, and there is some element of it being a foregone conclusion. It doesn't give people the exhilaration of an incredible one, two, three that they didn't expect or were waiting to see. Suddenly, it's right in front of them, and they got three seconds to register," he said. [46:20 - 47:05]
