Randy Orton seemingly suffers horrible injury after calling out Kevin Owens on SmackDown 

Randy Orton called out Kevin Owens during SmackDown tonight. However, this plan backfired on him as he was brutally attacked by The Prizefighter, even though security tried to keep the two stars apart.

Randy Orton and Kevin Owens have grown close as friends since the beginning of the year. Their common hatred of The Bloodline seemingly brought them together as tag team partners. For the next several months, the two of them would stand side by side against the faction.

However, when Cody Rhodes decided to team with a returning Roman Reigns at WWE Bad Blood, something snapped in Owens and he attacked The American Nightmare after the show. When Randy tried to be the peacemaker, Owens attacked him backstage too since he felt The Viper was on Cody's side.

Since then, Orton has been trying to get his hands on his former tag partner. The two men faced off against each other at Crown Jewel. However, both men got into an insane brawl and Orton was seemingly seriously hurt in the process, having had to be carried out of the arena.

Tonight on the blue brand, Orton got in the ring and was furious as he called out Kevin Owens. Owens walked out although WWE officials tried to stop him. Both men brawled in the ring and Owens hit him with a piledriver. Orton was out of action for a long time due to a back injury and he was unable to move after being hit with the piledriver. He had to be stretchered out of the arena and taken to a local medical facility.

It will be interesting to see how Randy Orton retaliates against Kevin Owens for this assault.
