RAW Preview: Huge return announcement to possibly be made, Faction to finally break up after 3.5 years?
Welcome to the RAW after Clash at the Castle 2024 Preview. We're going to have a huge episode tonight that will not only focus on the fallout of the Premium Live Event in Glasgow, but it will mark the start of the road to Money in the Bank in Toronto.
Before WWE takes yet another trip abroad, this week's episode is set to feature qualifiers, with matches not announced as of this writing. However, the immediate impact of Clash at the Castle will be what we will primarily focus on, starting with one of the two angriest men on the RAW roster:
#7. Drew McIntyre will be on a mission against CM Punk
Drew McIntyre fell short in front of his home country fans in Scotland. Just as he had a grip on the World Heavyweight Championship again, the referee was absent after being knocked down.
In the referee's place came a familiar face - CM Punk. Stopping the count at two, McIntyre went to choke Punk, only to get kicked in his nether region. As a result, Damian Priest was able to take advantage and retain the World Heavyweight Championship.
McIntyre had a full-fledged meltdown, including a physical altercation with commentator Corey Graves and other backstage figures.
Will we see CM Punk finally announce that he is medically cleared for an in-ring return again? What will Drew McIntyre have to say?
#6. Is this the end of the road for The Alpha Academy?
Chad Gable once again fell short against Sami Zayn, and it looks like he has no more claim to the Intercontinental Championship anymore. The chaos at ringside once again played up, with Maxxine getting hurt again, and Otis being forced to take her away while Chad Gable was left high and dry.
Sami Zayn would go on to get the better of him and retain his Intercontinental title, with Gable's face showing a lot more than just anger. With the constant chaos within The Alpha Academy, it looks like Chad Gable could be set to end the faction's run three-and-a-half years after its initial formation in late 2020.
The only question is, will Gable have anybody to replace them with on RAW?
#5. Dragon Lee faces Carlito on RAW
Carlito has been a sidekick to The Judgment Day - similar to what JD McDonagh was before he officially got recruited. Dragon Lee, meanwhile, has been with the LWO, and last week, he teamed up with Rey Mysterio and Braun Strowman to defeat the Judgment Day duo of Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, and also Carlito.
This week, Dragon Lee looks to get his revenge on Carlito - who was directly responsible for taking him out of the tag team match at WrestleMania 40 this year. The war between the LWO and The Judgment Day continues.
#4. What will be the repercussions for Bron Breakker?
Bron Breakker has been the most feared man on Monday Night RAW, and Adam Pearce's biggest headache by quite a big distance. Last week, not only did he defeat former NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov, but he also went on to decimate Ricochet backstage - with rumors floating around that the former US and Intercontinental Champion is done with WWE.
After hospitalizing a human being last week, Bron Breakker may have to deal with the repercussions of it. Otherwise, he may just take matters into his own hands and continue his path of destruction on RAW.
#3. The Liv Morgan-Dominik Mysterio fallout
Liv Morgan continued to make her advances towards Dominik Mysterio, knowing well that Rhea Ripley was watching from a distance, presumably infuriated with how things have played out.
Dominik Mysterio has been continuing to resist her advances despite her giving the key to her hotel room. While Carlito hilariously exclaimed "that's cool" in response to the news, Finn Balor seemed infuriated. However, a big twist seems to be in play as he subtly snatched the hotel room keycard that was handed to Dominik.
Will Liv Morgan continue to fuel the fire within The Judgment Day on RAW?
#2. Who is next for El Campeon?
Against all odds, Damian Priest retained the World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre in the main event of Clash at the Castle 2024. It took CM Punk's interference and a lot of luck, but the result is final and El Campeon will head into RAW with his title intact.
With McIntyre's claim of him being a transitional Champion now holding little to no weight, the Archer of Infamy will be seeking a new Challenger. Last year, he won the Money in the Bank briefcase, and this year, he will walk in as the World Champion defending his title.
We could see a new number-one contender emerge on RAW.
#1. Money in the Bank qualifiers begin
WWE introduced cool new graphics for Money in the Bank 2024. The qualifying matches are all set to begin on RAW tonight, and we already know that superstars like Jey Uso and Lyra Valkyria have stated their intention to become the ones to hold the briefcase.
There's less than three weeks until the show in Toronto, so WWE is likely going to have to be quick with setting up the contenders for the Men's and Women's ladder matches. We will see some of the big names cementing their spot tonight, so don't miss out!
