Real-life Bloodline member is ready to join WWE; brother of current superstar, says Rikishi
WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi recently addressed the possible additions to The Bloodline. He claimed a family member is currently ready to join the Stamford-based promotion.
The real-life Bloodline member in question is Journey Fatu. The 28-year-old is currently active on the independent circuit. Meanwhile, his brother, Jacob Fatu, has recently joined WWE to become part of Solo Sikoa's Bloodline faction. On his Off The Top podcast, Rikishi addressed the possibility of seeing Journey follow in his brother's footsteps.
The 58-year-old legend claimed Journey is "WWE material" right now, praising him for having the psychology and a passion for the business. He also stated that the independent wrestler is a safe worker.
"Journey can get away with, Journey can adapt. He's a WWE material right now, you know. But Journey doesn't look like the rest of us. Journey has his own look, right? So, I would think if they do decide to pick up Journey Fatu, which is Jacob's brother, his younger brother, you know, Journey's psychology is to the roof, so A on that. You know, Journey is not a liability, A on that. He's a hard worker, A on that. He has passion about the business, A on that. He's a safe worker, A+ on that. And he gets it, psychology-wise, you know, A++ on that," he said. (from 50:16-51:02)
Meanwhile, Rikishi pointed out that Journey has a different body type from most of The Bloodline members in WWE today, comparing the young in-ring competitor to himself and Yokozuna. Nevertheless, he explained that Jacob Fatu's brother is very athletic for his size:
"And so, it's only now is the way he looks. He's different. He's a little bit heavier than the most of the Bloodlines that are there now. He's kinda like me and Yoko's body back in the day, right? But Journey can move. He's very light on his feet, and he's very athletic for a kid that, I don't know, Journey looks like he's 300-320 lbs, maybe at 6'3'', and can move like my goodness." Rikishi thinks other family members are not ready to join WWE
On the same episode of the Off The Top podcast, Riksihi addressed the possibility of other family members joining the Stamford-based promotion. He disclosed that he thinks Umaga's son, Zilla Fatu, needs nearly two more years of experience on the independent circuit to be ready for that step.
Meanwhile, the wrestling legend pointed out that his fourth son, Thamiko, is also not ready to join his brothers in the promotion.
"Thamiko can kinda be in that same category with Zilla," he said.
The Bloodline currently has internal conflicts, as Solo Sikoa seemingly led a coup on Roman Reigns in the latter's absence, taking over the group. Nevertheless, Rikishi still believes Reigns is the main guy in the family. It would be interesting to see what happens next in the storyline.
