Real-life Bloodline member sends heartbreaking three-word message on Umaga's death anniversary
WWE legend and The Bloodline's own Umaga passed away on December 4, 2009, at 36 years of age. While he did once wrestle for the Stamford-based promotion under the ring name Jamal, his run as The Samoan Bulldozer is what most wrestling fans vividly remember, despite it being a short stint.
Between 2006 and 2009, Umaga wrestled some of the company's top stars, such as John Cena, Triple H, Batista, and CM Punk. His Last Man Standing match at Royal Rumble 2007 remains to this day one of the most acclaimed bouts to ever happen in the event's history outside the titular contest. Umaga's son, Zilla Fatu, had something to say on his father's death anniversary.
Taking to Instagram, Zilla Fatu used three simple words to describe how much his legendary father's absence affects him today:
"MISS YOU POPS," Zilla Fatu wrote.
Meanwhile, Zilla Fatu has been training to become a professional wrestler for a year now. He had trained under WWE Hall of Famer Booker T at one point. It seems only a matter of time before the 25-year-old signs with World Wrestling Entertainment, where his family is heavily featured in the shows.
Zilla Fatu says Triple H can find a way to have him join The Bloodline on WWE SmackDown
For the last four years, The Bloodline has reigned supreme on The Island of Relevancy. If fans find out about any new member of the Anoa'i family training to become a wrestler or working on the independent circuit, there is automatically a belief that they will sign with WWE.
Zilla Fatu discussed potentially doing the same while speaking to The Wrestling Era podcast recently, stating that he is "destined" to compete for the sports entertainment giant:
"I would love to be there with my family. Triple H, the creative team, the whole WWE organization, they have a way to incorporate me. [...] You just never know. So right now, I just can't call it but I know that I'm destined to be there, though."
As for The Bloodline, the group has been divided in two. They squared off this past Saturday at Survivor Series: WarGames, with Roman Reigns leading his team to victory against Solo Sikoa's new Bloodline.
