Real-life Bloodline member wins major championship just a week before WWE SummerSlam 2024
The Bloodline has taken over the pro wrestling world, not just in WWE but also in the indies. Anoa'i family member Zilla Fatu, the son of late Umaga, recently captured his very first championship.
Zilla Fatu made a triumphant House of Glory debut tonight when he dethroned Carlos “La Sombra” Ramirez for the Crown Jewel Title at the High Intensity event. During the closing moments, Idris Jackson ambushed Carlos Ramirez with a steel chair to his head while the referee was distracted, allowing the real-life Bloodline member to sneak a win.
This ended Carlos “La Sombra” Ramirez's Crown Jewel Title reign at 238 days.
Zilla Fatu has been making waves on the independent circuit, following in his late father's footsteps. Trained under Booker T's Reality of Wrestling School, the 27-year-old up-and-coming star made his pro wrestling debut in the summer of 2023.
Zilla had a brief stint with his cousin Jacob on GCW until WWE knocked on The Samoan Werewolf's door earlier this year.
The son of Umaga recently said he wants to join the Stamford-based promotion and get involved in the ongoing Bloodline storyline.
With the Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline in full effect, could Roman Reigns bring a backup in the form of Zilla Fatu upon his rumored WWE return at SummerSlam? Only time will tell.
