Real reason for heartbreaking betrayal revealed; Former WWE champion issues surprising challenge

Former North American Champion Wes Lee revealed the reason why he betrayed The Rascalz last week during an in-ring segment on the latest episode of WWE NXT. He also issued a challenge to his former teammate Zachary Wentz.

The Kardiac Kid stated that his betrayal shocked the world, but even he was shocked. He then said that he believed he and Wentz were going to win the tag titles last week, but the latter let him down. Wes Lee mentioned that it goes back to two years ago when Zachary Wentz let him down, as he was let go by the company.

Lee said people felt sad for Zach but sorry for him. He said people doubted him and saw him as just a tag team guy, but he dried his tears, picked himself up, and worked hard to become the greatest NXT North American Champion ever. Wes claimed that Zach abandoned him and reunited with Trey Miguel in TNA while he broke his back to become a top star on WWE NXT.

Wes Lee went on to say that Zach and Trey only came back for the WWE. He then issued a challenge by saying that NXT No Mercy was coming up and that the name of the show was fitting because he wouldn't show Zachary Wentz any mercy when they clashed at the event.

Pete Dunne then came out and said he was impressed with Wes Lee, but Joe Hendry blindsided The Kardiac Kid, leading to a brawl.
