Recent clues seemingly point to major betrayal in backstage attack on WWE RAW
WWE seemingly dropped some major clues about who may have attacked a popular star during last night's edition of RAW. Last night's show aired live from TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
Kairi Sane was supposed to compete in the Women's Intercontinental Championship tournament, but that will no longer be the case after last night's attack. Sane was attacked backstage, and it appeared that Pure Fusion Collective was responsible. However, Dakota Kai was spotted near the scene, and a potential clue may have been revealed during last night's RAW Talk.
IYO SKY and Dakota Kai were interviewed, and the Wyatt Sicks glitch appeared around 36 seconds into the video. Kai claimed that Damage CTRL was closer to each other than Pure Fusion Collective when the glitch appeared. You can check it out in the video below.
Dakota Kai defeated Katana Chance and Shayna Baszler in a Triple Threat match on the December 2 edition of WWE RAW. Kai was also in action on the red brand last week but was defeated by Women's World Champion Liv Morgan.
The 30-year-old also defeated Damage CTRL's IYO SKY at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event to retain the title. It was revealed during last night's episode of RAW that Rhea Ripley is now the number-one contender for the title.
Dakota Kai puts WWE locker room on notice following major victory
WWE star Dakota Kai recently sent a message to the locker room after she advanced in the Women's Intercontinental Championship tournament on RAW.
In an interview with Cathy Kelley earlier this month, Kai boasted about advancing in the tournament. She noted that the Women's Intercontinental Championship would look good on her and claimed she deserved to become champion.
"Cathy, oh my God, I'm so pumped! I mean, you know more than anyone how my journey has been filled with ups and downs, ins and outs. But if there's one thing that's evaded me during my whole time in this company, it's been singles championship gold. And that [Women's] IC Championship would look so good around my waist. It's in my crosshairs right now. It's my time, it's my time! I can't wait to prove to everyone, as well as myself, that I deserve this more than anything. I'm so pumped," she said. Kai has never won a singles title during her time in WWE. Only time will tell if the veteran can win the Women's Intercontinental Championship in the weeks ahead.
