Recent WWE RAW segment "looked like a shoot," believes Bill Apter (Exclusive)
A recent WWE RAW segment caught the attention of many fans and critics owing to its near-perfect execution. According to veteran journalist Bill Apter, it apparently looked a little too real.
The segment being talked about is the one between Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston. The New Day is seemingly no longer on the same page, with Woods and Kingston squabbling after their match against Alpha Academy. The backstage segment was very well done, earning praise from Bill Apter.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine hosted by Mac Davis, the veteran journalist stated:
"That segment with Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston was one of the best real (segments). I commented to a wrestler I was talking to on Twitter with WWE, he is on hiatus right now, and we both agreed that that looked like a shoot. That it was that intense, it was that good." [From 00:38 onwards]

Xavier Woods claims WWE told him to stay away from Kofi Kingston
While Woods and Kingston worked quite well as partners, the former was apparently once told not to work with Kofi.
Speaking on WWE Retrospective on the Stamford-based company's YouTube channel, Xavier Woods explained:
"My entire career [before The New Day formed], I've been told to stay away from Kofi [Kingston]. Not because he's bad, but because we're very similar. And so they [company] said, 'In wrestling, you got to carve out your own spot, and well, if Kofi's doing this, and we automatically see you and imagine that you're kind of a secondary Kofi, that's not gonna be good for you!''' he said.
He further added:
"So, I always stayed away from him, but I don't believe that to be true!"

As of now, it remains to be seen what the future holds for The New Day. The stable is set to celebrate their 10-year anniversary next week on RAW.
