Recent WWE signing breaks silence after surprise RAW debut

WWE recently signed an 18-year-old athlete, who made an appearance last Monday on RAW. Mark Henry's son, Jacob Henry, has broken his silence and reacted to his TV debut on social media.

One of the notable differences in the current WWE broadcast is showing guests sitting on the sidelines. Some of the stars present this past Monday include Candice Michelle, Mark Henry, and his son Jacob, who is a freshman collegiate wrestler for the University of Oklahoma.

In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Jacob Henry shared the video of his first appearance on WWE television along with his Hall of Fame father. He commented about realizing a dream and teased his arrival in the future.

"It’s not a dream anymore… In due time.."

WWE signed Jacob Henry to a contract, which would make him a second-generation superstar. Henry has been given the opportunity to follow in his father's footsteps but was also allowed to wrestle at the collegiate level.

The 18-year-old athlete has some big shoes to fill considering Mark Henry's accomplishments in the industry. The World's Strongest Man is a one-time World Heavyweight Champion, one-time ECW Champion, and one-time European Champion. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018.

Mark Henry is optimistic about his son's future in WWE

In an appearance on the Recap Rewind Relive podcast back in June, Mark Henry stated that he was very proud of Jacob's potential. Henry even claimed that his son is more advanced than some of the wrestlers on NXT.

"I can tell you right now, I would put his wrestling acumen up there with everybody at the top at NXT. His understanding and knowledge of the force if you will, for lack of a better term, is on a scale of one to 100, Jacob is probably about 85 in his understanding and knowledge. And that's 18 to turning 19-year-old kid, so when he gets 21, 23 somewhere in there whenever he decides to become a professional wrestler, he's going to be elite," Henry said.

Henry added:

"He's already physically there. He's more than mentally there. He just have [sic] to put the work in and practice the actual business of pro wrestling. He realizes what it is to be a professional already because he sees his father's example. He won't make the mistakes that I made. He'll be better than me."

In addition to being a standout amateur wrestler in high school, Jacob Henry was also a top football player and played as a defensive linesman.
