Recently hospitalized WWE Superstar provides injury update ahead of major title match
A top WWE champion has shared a major injury update ahead of his title match at NXT Deadline 2024. The star was previously stretchered from the ringside and hospitalized after sustaining a neck injury.
Last week on NXT, Trick Williams and his upcoming challenger, Ridge Holland, engaged in a heated confrontation. WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff served as a mediator during this tense exchange.
The confrontation escalated into a brawl after the former Brawling Brutes member insulted Williams, calling the NXT Champion "soft." The segment culminated with Holland delivering a devastating DDT to The Anointed One on the commentary table, leaving Trick incapacitated and requiring medical attention at the hospital.
Trick Williams provided an update on his health condition via a video posted on X (FKA Twitter). The 30-year-old WWE star confirmed that he had been discharged from the hospital and cleared to compete in his scheduled NXT Title match against Ridge Holland at the upcoming Deadline Premium Live Event.
"Just an update for you [fans]. I have checked out of the hospital, and I have been cleared to compete tomorrow at Deadline [Premium Live Event]," Williams said. [From 00:03 to 00:12]

Trick Williams is confident he will retain his WWE NXT Championship
In the same video, The Anointed One issued a warning to Ridge Holland ahead of their title match in Minneapolis later tonight. Trick acknowledged the physical toll of their previous encounters, specifically mentioning the pain he endured in his neck at the hands of the former Brawling Brutes member.
Despite the pain, Trick Williams has vowed to retain the NXT Championship, emphasizing his desire to win for Chase U, WWE fans, and himself.
"I'm not going to lie; Ridge [Holland], you took me to hell and back, and you hurt my neck. But there's no way you're going to take this NXT Championship from me. I want this bad. I'm doing this for Chase U; I'm doing this for NXT, and I'm doing this for me. I'll see you tomorrow," he added. [From 00:22 to 00:41]
It remains to be seen whether the 30-year-old star will retain his championship or Holland will capture his first-ever singles title tonight.
