Recently returned RAW star wishes Mandy Rose a happy birthday on Instagram

Former WWE star Mandy Rose turned 34 on July 18. A RAW star who recently made her in-ring return wished her happy birthday on Instagram as speculation continues to ramp up about her future. The star who sent the message is none other than Sonya Deville.

Mandy Rose was let go by WWE on December 14, just a day after her reign as NXT Women's Champion came to an end. She held the title for over a year but was abruptly released—later revealed to be due to her adult content posting.

On the occasion of her 34th birthday, Mandy's best friend Sonya Deville, who made her in-ring return on this week's RAW after a year, wished her a happy birthday on her Instagram stories.

Deville would go on to post many of their photos together. The two have been best friends for years, and the duo even runs a donut business together.

Mandy Rose said 2 WWE legends thought she lacked "sass" when joining the company

There was little doubt that Rose would be a big star in WWE, and she could have arguably gotten bigger had it not been for her release.

Speaking on the Power Alphas podcast, Mandy Rose said that Chris Jericho and Lita hyped her up but said she lacked sass, leading to the birth of her character:

"'You obviously are the total package. You have the looks, you have the personality, you have all these things, you have the athleticism. We think without wrestling experience you can get there, eventually. It's going to take time, but there's one thing you're like kind of missing.' They told me that they were like, 'You need to like bring it more. You need to bring that sass.' So then, Mandy Rose was born." [20:55 - 22:12]

This was back in 2015 when Rose was entering the wrestling business. It will be interesting to see where she lands up next if she makes an in-ring return.
