Reigning WWE champion details "brutal" aspect of working under Triple H's management
WWE has signed many top names and Triple H has given them some top opportunities. A reigning champion recently opened up about one of the toughest aspects of working in the company.
Jade Cargill signed with the company nearly a year ago. She has already enjoyed two title reigns with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship around her waist.
The Stamford-based wrestling promotion pushed Cargill to the main roster soon after her signing instead of having her attend NXT first. She has had a good partnership with Bianca Belair.
Speaking on The Masked Man Show, Jade Cargill talked about one of the most brutal aspects of working in WWE. She detailed how her travel schedule was extremely tough as that wasn’t the case when she worked in Tony Khan's AEW.
"I consistently have been working since Mania. The travel. The travel is brutal. It's very, very brutal ... this isn't even half of what they used to do for travel and the fact that we travel internationally, and then we have to turn around, and people have to go to Raw, and just their clocks have to just be on point to whatever time change they're in right now."
She continued:
"I think that's crazy. You have to go out there, you have to perform, you have to be 100% in front of all these people, regardless if you're jet lagged ... That is very much different for me because I was so used to working one day a week, maybe two days a week, traveling in same day and leaving the next morning as early as I can," said the WWE Women's Tag Team Champion. Cargill didn't have to work under Vince McMahon's rule much as the latter retired from the company in January 2024. Triple H has since made some big changes that require superstars to fly out of the country for shows more often.
Triple H has increased the frequency of international WWE PLEs
WWE usually held its big PLEs in the United States and Canada before venturing into new markets. Triple H has taken the company to new countries for PLEs since taking over creative control.
The annual PLEs in Saudi Arabia have been followed by major events in India, Germany, France, and South America. It has allowed fans in international markets to watch their favorite superstars live in big matches.
However, traveling can take a toll on some superstars. Hence, Triple H has made it easier for superstars to take leaves and take rest whenever they feel the need for it.
The overall mood backstage is said to have improved over the past year. This has especially been true since Vince McMahon departed from WWE and Triple H took over many key affairs.
