Reports of CM Punk directly being responsible for WWE's poor treatment of current champion are unfounded, claims veteran
Claims of CM Punk being the reason behind a current WWE champion's poor treatment were recently shot down by wrestling veteran Disco Inferno. The star being referred to is the current United States Champion, LA Knight.
Punk returned to World Wrestling Entertainment at Survivor Series: WarGames 2023. Although everyone who was involved in the premium live event put on a great show, The Straight Edge Superstar's return somewhat overshadowed everything.
During a recent edition of Keepin' It 100 OFFICIAL, a fan cited a rumor that claimed WWE had plans to build a feud between LA Knight and Seth Rollins that would have culminated at WrestleMania XL with The Megastar dethroning The Visionary. However, those plans apparently changed because CM Punk returned to the Stamford-based promotion.
Disco Inferno completely shut down this rumor, saying he would have heard something if the Triple H-led creative team had plans for a dream match between Knight and Rollins in Philadelphia earlier this year.
"I think LA Knight can easily be put in the top spot again. He's still strong on the mic. I mean, I didn't hear any of this Knight vs. Rollins stuff. Don't you think we would have heard that?" he said. [From 0:42 - 0:53]

The fan might have heard about this rumor because CM Punk's return coincided with LA Knight's push. During that time, everyone wanted The Megastar to become a main event star and possibly have a World Title run. Seth Rollins was the World Heavyweight Champion at the time, and he got involved in a beef with Punk and Drew McIntyre.
WWE star Seth Rollins is currently involved in a heated feud with Bronson Reed
During an edition of RAW in August, Bronson Reed brutally destroyed Seth Rollins with multiple Tsunamis. Due to this, The Visionary went on a hiatus from WWE television but took his revenge after returning to TV in September.
Since then, the archrivals have been in a heated feud. They have already faced each other once at Crown Jewel 2024, in which Rollins emerged victorious. However, they haven't stopped going after each other and have been brawling week after week.
On last week's RAW, Seth Rollins demanded RAW General Manager Adam Perace for a last match with Bronson Reed. Pearce agreed to The Visionary's proposal, and they are now set to lock horns on this week's edition of the red brand.
It remains to be seen who will come out on top between Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed on the upcoming episode of WWE RAW.
