Rey Mysterio reacts after controversial 12-time WWE champion suddenly takes a shot at him; very upset with star after "botch" and ready to fight him
Rey Mysterio has reacted to a shot from a controversial WWE star and a 12-time champion. The legend is ready to fight him.
Xavier Woods has found himself in the middle of controversy after turning his back on his best friend of 10 years, Big E, along with Kofi Kingston. Woods, who has won 12 tag team titles, sent Mysterio a message on his birthday by reposting WWE's wish to the Hall of Famer and saying that someone needed to get him a tighter mask.
"Someone should get him a tighter mask for his birthday."
This was in reference to when the two stars wrestled in the ring, and Woods, in a "botch," apparently accidentally unmasked the star. He didn't stop the match there or wait for Mysterio to wear his mask again. Instead of showing respect to the legend, Woods decided to take advantage and pin him, getting a win over the star instead. To say that Mysterio was very upset with him over that would be an understatement.
Now, Rey Mysterio has responded to the star's comment about his mask and said that he's ready to fight him and show that Woods should not mess with the legend's mask again.
"If that’s your way of saying happy birthday, I’ll take it 🙏🏼but how bout I show u not to mess with the mask instead!"
The coming episode of WWE RAW will see whether the two battle over it.
Rey Mysterio has unfinished business with Xavier Woods on WWE RAW
With the transfer window in WWE, there's no telling where a superstar may end up. Rey Mysterio may have to finish his business with Xavier Woods before either of them moves to SmackDown.
The New Day - Kofi Kingston and Woods - are far from the most popular stars in the company after their treatment of their friend and partner, Big E. There are quite a few stars who would like to teach them a lesson for how they turned their back on their injured best friend of 10 years.
The coming few weeks should be interesting, as fans will get to see what happens after a potential heel turn for the group.
