Rhea Ripley breaks character to reveal what's changed between her and Buddy Matthews after getting married
WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley recently opened up about married life, over a month after her wedding with AEW's Buddy Matthews. The two tied the knot on June 23, while Mami was on hiatus from the company due to her shoulder injury.
Ripley has since returned to WWE and normal service has resumed in that regard. However, she has noticed some subtle changes since getting married. The Judgment Day member spoke about them in an interview with Denise Salcedo ahead of SummerSlam.
The former Women's World Champion did note that not too much has changed since she and Buddy Matthews got married. However, Rhea Ripley mentioned that she feels an even stronger connection to her husband now:
"So, not much has changed. We were pretty much married before the actual wedding. The only thing that has really changed is a feeling inside. It's a hard feeling to describe but it's a special connection that you have with that person, and he's the same. He's like, 'I feel safe. I feel genuinely like you love me and we're together and this is our forever,' so there's that, which is nice," said Ripley. [1:46 - 2:12]

Rhea Ripley will be in action tonight, as she looks to win back her Women's World Championship from Liv Morgan. This is Mami's first match back since getting injured at the hands of the current champion. Since then, Morgan has tried to take everything from Ripley.
While she successfully got Dominik Mysterio back, The Eradicator is not done. Rhea Ripley will stop at nothing to become a two-time Women's World Champion. However, there's a chance that Dirty Dom will turn his back on Mami and betray her, in favor of Liv Morgan. It will be interesting to see how things played out at SummerSlam.
