Rhea Ripley breaks character for a special photoshoot with longtime WWE rival

Over the years, Rhea Ripley has shared the ring with several prominent superstars, including her longtime rival Zelina Vega. Taking to social media, Vega recently shared pictures from her and Ripley's Death Note-inspired photoshoot.

At the 2023 Backlash Premium Live Event, Ripley successfully defended the SmackDown Women's Championship against Vega in Puerto Rico. They've also shared the ring in tag team matches. While Ripley teamed up with her former Judgment Day stablemates, Vega joined forces with her LWO stablemates.

On Twitter/X, Vega revealed her Death Note-inspired photoshoot with Ripley. She also sent a short message highlighting how it was an unexpected post considering her history with The Eradicator.

"The day you never thought would come," wrote Vega.

Rhea Ripley shared her honest opinion of Zelina Vega

Rhea Ripley and Zelina Vega have yet to settle their differences on WWE TV. The inaugural Queen of the Ring winner has even called out The Nightmare several times on social media.

On Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg, Ripley broke character and praised Vega for her dedication to the business. She said:

"Then seeing her walk out with the flag, go to her family, have them get in the ring, and then get so emotional live on camera when I know that she's not a very emotional showing person, especially that sort of emotion. She's normally a little angry Gremlin. It was hard for me to sort of play off it in the way that Rhea Ripley would."

Ripley is currently feuding with Liv Morgan on Monday Night RAW. At Bad Blood, The Eradicator failed to become a two-time WWE Women's World Champion after the returning Raquel Rodriguez helped the reigning champion retain her gold.

Vega has been accompanying LWO for the majority of their matches. She recently teamed up with Katana Chance, Kayden Carter, Lyra Valkyria, and Natalya to secure a victory over the team of Alba Fyre, Isla Dawn, Shayna Baszler, Sonya Deville, and Zoey Stark.
