Rhea Ripley defends her brutal assault on 30-year-old WWE star
Rhea Ripley returned just in time for WWE SummerSlam to challenge Women's World Champion Liv Morgan after being forced to relinquish the belt three months ago. She was in the middle of a lengthy title reign at the time which had crossed the one-year mark. But any chances of her extending that run went out the window thanks to Morgan.
Although Liv Morgan is now the heel in this story, her issues with Rhea Ripley originally commenced in the summer of 2023 when the latter broke her hand. This kept the 30-year-old out of action for six months.
USA Network pointed to this particular detail on X (formerly Twitter) recently. However, The Eradicator of The Judgment Day believes that Morgan got what she deserved. According to the former, the current Women's World Champion never stopped putting her nose in Ripley's business:
"Told her multiple times to stay out of my business… Not my fault she’s NEVER been a good listener," Rhea Ripley wrote in response.
Through the lens of The Nightmare, Liv Morgan continues to meddle in her affairs. But this week on RAW, Rhea Ripley got a measure of revenge on her rival thanks to Dominik Mysterio. The former NXT North American Champion rejected Morgan publicly, which pleased Ripley. The latter licked her Dom Dom's face and planted a kiss on his cheek in response to his move.
WWE veterans slam Jey Uso's romantic angle with Rhea Ripley on RAW
WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi is a harsh critic of Rhea Ripley and Jey Uso's romantic angle on RAW. Creative has teased a potential union of the two in recent weeks, with The Judgment Day attacking Uso backstage for asking Mami out. Ripley appears to have a soft spot for Mr. Main Event, too.
Rikishi slammed WWE's booking of Jey Uso on his podcast recently. Despite being one of the most over superstars on the roster, Jey is stuck in an angle that does not really do him much favors. Taking to X, ex-WWE personality Jonathan Coachman supported the Hall of Famer's sentiment:
"Just waiting for the “smarks” to tell the legend Rikishi “it’s not real. It’s a work. What are you worried about”. These spouses and those at home it’s very real to them. Plus just lazy booking also. Jey Uso is the most over-talent they have right now. And he’s stuck chasing Rhea around," Coachman wrote.
As of this writing, Jey Uso is not booked for SummerSlam, albeit he picked up a huge win over the World Tag Team Champions on RAW alongside Sami Zayn. Uso now has momentum over The Judgment Day, with undying fan support.
