Rhea Ripley made a surprising appearance on WWE SmackDown and shook the landscape of the brand. Today, she made a bold statement after the show.
A few years ago, Rhea Ripley made her debut on WWE's main roster. She dominated the women's division on the developmental brand before moving to the main roster under Vince McMahon's leadership. The 28-year-old star made a few appearances on the blue brand but never got drafted to it.
On the recent edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Rhea Ripley made a shocking appearance on the brand. Today, Mami celebrated her 28th birthday and sent a message using the lyrics of Motionless in White's 'Necessary Evil' song.
"It's my party and I'll die when I want to.🩸🎂," Ripley wrote.
Motionless in White co-wrote Ripley's current 'Demon in Your Dreams' theme song with Def Rebel. The band even played The Nightmare's theme live during her entrance at WrestleMania this year.
Why was Rhea Ripley on WWE SmackDown?
Last year, Rhea Ripley won the SmackDown Women's Championship from Charlotte Flair at The Grandest Stage of Them All in California. Ripley made several appearances on the blue brand before winning the most prized possession in the division.
However, she didn't move, nor get drafted to SmackDown back then. Instead, the brand-exclusive titles were dismissed, and Mami became the Women's World Championship. In the coming months, she made a few appearances on Friday but primarily worked on WWE RAW.
Lately, she's been feuding with Liv Morgan, who took everything away from her on Monday Night RAW. After taking The Judgment Day and Dominik Mysterio away, she defeated her in a one-on-one title match at SummerSlam with Dirty Dom's help. In their second title match at Bad Blood, Raquel Rodriguez returned to the promotion and helped Morgan retain her belt.
On the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown, she made a surprise appearance on the brand and attacked the heinous trio from The Judgment Day. Later, Ripley inadvertently kicked Nia Jax in the face as she wanted to get her hands on Liv Morgan.
