Rhea Ripley makes compelling argument about who the real villain is ahead of WWE SummerSlam
Rhea Ripley shared an interesting update today on social media ahead of her title match at WWE SummerSlam. The 27-year-old will be challenging Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship at the premium live event this Saturday night.
The Eradicator missed several months of action due to injury and was forced to relinquish the Women's World Championship following WrestleMania XL. She has the chance to win back the title she never lost this weekend.
Liv Morgan attempted to seduce Dominik Mysterio during Ripley's hiatus but Dirty Dom claimed he hated the 30-year-old last week on the red brand. Ahead of WWE SummerSlam, Ripley took to Instagram to make a compelling case about who the real villain is in her storyline with Liv Morgan on RAW.
"A villain is simply a victim whose story hasn’t been told.🃏🩸," she wrote.
Liv Morgan captured the Women's World Championship at King and Queen of the Ring by defeating Becky Lynch. She defeated Lynch once again in a Steel Cage match on the May 27 edition of RAW and The Man's contract with the promotion has since expired.
WWE Hall of Famer predicts Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan's rivalry will not end at SummerSlam
Wrestling legend Teddy Long believes the storyline between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan will continue following the premium live event this weekend.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine show, Long noted that the feud has a ton of momentum on WWE television. He suggested that the company will likely extend the rivalry beyond SummerSlam.
"Why take it right there? Lot of mileage there, you know. Lot you can get out of there, you know. I agree with Bill [Apter], I don't think she's gonna drop it [the Women's World Title] either but that goes on down the line. You keep that program running, and as long as the people are behind it and it's drawing money and selling tickets, why mess it up?" Long said. [From 07:23 onwards]

The anticipation for the Women's World Championship match at WWE SummerSlam is off the charts. Only time will tell if Dominik Mysterio will get involved in the title match this weekend.
