Rhea Ripley reacts to major WWE SummerSlam announcement

WWE SummerSlam Weekend is shaping up to be a big one for Rhea Ripley. The former champion will be looking to regain the title she never lost as she enters Cleveland Browns Stadium on Saturday night, but now she's been booked for another important happening that same day.

The Eradicator has not wrestled since retaining the Women's World Championship over Becky Lynch at WrestleMania XL. She was forced to relinquish the strap days later due to a shoulder injury caused by a backstage brawl with Liv Morgan. Ripley recently returned to confront Morgan for taking her title and trying to take her man, and that led to a title shot at The Biggest Event of the Summer.

Instead of taking SummerSlam Saturday to prepare for her in-ring return later that night, Ripley will be meeting with the WWE Universe at the SummerSlam Photo Experience. The fan event is run by Leap Technology's Epic Photo-Ops and is scheduled for Friday and Saturday at Tower City Center in Cleveland. This is also where the SummerSlam Store is located, just three minutes from Browns Stadium. Ripley reacted to the gig on X today:

"See you little MosherZ saturday at 10:30am [smiling face with horns emoji]," Rhea Ripley wrote with the graphic below.

Ripley's attached graphic lists her appearance for 10:30am local time, but the Epic Photo-Ops website has her scheduled for 11:20am in Group 6. The photo ticket is priced at $104.00. Dominik Mysterio, Drew McIntyre, Jey Uso, and Tiffany Stratton are also scheduled for Saturday's sessions.

WWE SummerSlam lineup changes being considered

World Wrestling Entertainment is scheduled to present its 37th annual SummerSlam PLE on Saturday at Browns Stadium in Cleveland. The big event will kick off at 7pm ET on Peacock, after the three-hour Countdown preview show.

Hometown star The Miz was recently revealed as the SummerSlam host, and more changes to the card are expected but not confirmed. Below is the updated lineup:

  • SummerSlam Host: The Miz
  • CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre (Special Guest Referee: Seth Rollins)
  • Intercontinental Championship: Sami Zayn (c) vs. Bron Breakker
  • Women's Championship: Bayley (c) vs. Nia Jax
  • United States Championship: Logan Paul (c) vs. LA Knight
  • Women's World Championship: Liv Morgan (c) vs. Rhea Ripley
  • Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Solo Sikoa
  • World Heavyweight Championship: Damian Priest (c) vs. Gunther

Peacock and WWE digital platforms are scheduled to air a post-show as soon as SummerSlam goes off the air. This will likely feature a panel and the post-show press conference.
