Rhea Ripley reacts after real-life husband Buddy Murphy makes major announcement; Judgment Day referenced in major way
WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley recently took to social media to react after her real-life husband and current AEW star Buddy Matthews, also known as Buddy Murphy, made a major announcement. Matthews is a former RAW Tag Team Champion.
Ripley is currently one of the biggest names in World Wrestling Entertainment. After successfully defending the Women's World Championship at WrestleMania XL, The Eradicator was injured by Liv Morgan which forced her to vacate her title. Mami recently returned to WWE television and challenged Morgan for the gold at SummerSlam.
Rhea Ripley and Buddy Matthews were dating for a while before getting engaged in August 2023. During her hiatus from the Stamford-based promotion, Ripley tied the knot with Matthews in June 2024.
The 35-year-old recently took to Instagram to make a major announcement outside the world of professional wrestling. Matthews posted about his new partnership with Nexus Sports Nutrition. However, he seemingly made a major Judgment Day reference with "Members Rise," which is similar to Ripley's faction's catchphrase, "All Rise." He even mentioned his wife's name in a hashtag.

WWE Hall of Famer believes Rhea Ripley will lose to Liv Morgan at SummerSlam
During an edition of Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine with host Mac Davis, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long said that he does not believe Liv Morgan will drop the Women's World Championship against Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam.
Long mentioned that the Stamford-based promotion could continue their rivalry as long as it will be relevant.
"Why take it right there? Lot of mileage there, you know. Lot you can get out of there, you know. I agree with Bill [Apter], I don't think she's gonna drop it [the Women's World Title] either but that goes on down the line. You keep that program running, and as long as the people are behind it and it's drawing money and selling tickets, why mess it up?" Long said.
