Rhea Ripley shares recovery update ahead of WWE SummerSlam

WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley has now shed light on how her shoulder has been holding up ever since her return to Monday Night RAW a few weeks ago. She is set to lock horns against Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship at the 2024 SummerSlam tonight.

On RAW after WrestleMania XL, The Miracle Kid launched a brutal backstage assault on The Nightmare. Due to the attack, Ripley was forced to vacate the Women's Championship. Becky Lynch later captured the title, followed by Morgan.

Meanwhile, the 30-year-old female star nearly swayed Dominik Mysterio to her side before Mami made a shocking return on the July 8 installment of the red brand. The two WWE Superstars will finally settle their score inside the squared circle at The Biggest Party of the Summer.

In a recent chat with Chris Van Vliet of Insight ahead of the premium live event in Cleveland, Rhea Ripley was asked about the status of her shoulder following recovery. The Judgment Day member expressed confidence in her shoulder's health.

"I am confident that it's good. I'm back to lifting the same weights that I was lifting; if not more. I got a PR two days ago on my bench (...) So I do dumbbell incline and my old PR was 80 for four, the other day I did 85 for five," she said. [From 00:10 to 00:32]

Rhea Ripley put Liv Morgan on notice for their WWE SummerSlam match

During the same interview, the former RAW Women's Champion mentioned that Liv Morgan would exploit her shoulder injury to gain an advantage during the WWE Women's World Championship match.

Regardless, The Nightmare warned Liv Morgan and told her to expect a brutal encounter tonight at SummerSlam. Rhea Ripley added:

"But when it comes to wrestling, it's so unpredictable and I know Liv Morgan is going to stop at nothing to try and get the advantage so I really have to be careful with my movements and what I do and I can't let my anger get the best of me because anything could really happen and I just need to be safe and smart, but still brutal." It will be interesting to see where Dominik Mysterio's loyalty lies during the WWE title match between The Miracle Kid and The Eradicator.
