Ric Flair sends heartfelt message following recent tragedy
WWE legend Ric Flair shared a heartfelt message today following the loss of his stepson. The Nature Boy retired from in-ring competition in 2022.
Ric Flair's stepson, Sebastian Kidder, tragically passed away earlier this week. The 24-year-old took his own life at the family home in Georgia. Flair took to social media today to share an image with his stepson and included a heartwarming message following his passing.
"Wendy & I are overwhelmed by the messages of love & thoughts and prayers. We can't respond to everyone individually, but just know we love you all and respect you. Always remember, life is precious. Live every day to the fullest. Don't take anything for granted. Love your family and keep them close," he wrote.
Flair announced that he was separating from his fifth wife, Wendy Barlow, earlier this year. The legend ended his in-ring career at the Ric Flair's Last Match event in 2022 and teamed up with his son-in-law, Andrade, to defeat Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett.
WWE legend Bret Hart comments on Ric Flair's last match
Wrestling icon Bret "The Hitman" Hart shared what he said to Ric Flair following his last match in 2022.
Bret Hart made an appearance on the September 9 edition of WWE RAW and was confronted by World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. The Ring General hilariously claimed that Goldberg was his favorite wrestler and that Hart was 2nd. Goldberg and Gunther had a confrontation earlier this month at WWE Bad Blood that was broken up by security.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter, Bret Hart shared what he said to Flair following his final match a couple of years ago. Hart stated that he congratulated Flair and noted that there were not too many people who would have had the guts to have a match at his age.
“I just congratulated him and let him know that I appreciated what he did and what he was trying to do,” Hart replied when asked what he said to Flair. “There’s not too many guys who would have the guts to go in there and do what Ric Flair did, and I admire that about him.” [1:31-1:47]
