Rick Steiner predicts Bron Breakker vs. John Cena result (Exclusive)
Bron Breakker has been touted by many to face John Cena during the WWE legend's retirement tour in 2025. In an exclusive interview, Breakker's father Rick Steiner gave his thoughts on how the dream match could go.
In recent months, Breakker has showcased his impressive athleticism and power during rivalries with Ilja Dragunov, Ricochet, and Sami Zayn. On August 3, the 26-year-old defeated Zayn at SummerSlam to win the Intercontinental Championship.
Steiner spoke to Sportskeeda Wrestling Senior Editor Bill Apter shortly after his son's title victory. Asked about a possible Breakker vs. Cena match, the WWE Hall of Famer predicted that the new Intercontinental Champion would win with one or two spears:
"Spear [laughs]. He [John Cena] may not be able to keep up either. Maybe two spears." [4:08 – 4:24]

Rick Steiner on how WWE fans perceive Bron Breakker
Although he performs as a bad guy, Bron Breakker has built a strong fanbase thanks to his entertaining persona and undeniable in-ring ability.
Rick Steiner believes his son has all the qualities to make it to the top of WWE. He also joked that the two-time NXT Champion stole several moves from himself and his brother Scott:
"I think fans appreciate athletic ability," Steiner continued. "There's a lot of different facets of professional wrestling. I mean, he can talk, he's intense, and he's got a lot of good moves and stuff that he stole from my brother and I. The bulldog [is another move Breakker uses]. I think he borrowed them, just like we'd borrow stuff back in the day." [4:52 – 5:25]
Breakker's next televised match will take place on the August 12 episode of RAW. He will defend the Intercontinental Championship against his SummerSlam opponent Sami Zayn in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match.
