Rick Steiner reacts to Bron Breakker's huge win at WWE SummerSlam (Exclusive)

Rick Steiner was in attendance to watch his son Bron Breakker win the Intercontinental Championship from Sami Zayn at WWE SummerSlam. In an exclusive interview, the WWE Hall of Famer shared his honest thoughts on the match.

Breakker previously failed to capture the title from Zayn at Money in the Bank on July 6. At SummerSlam, however, the much-anticipated rematch had a different outcome, with Breakker securing the win inside six minutes after hitting Zayn with a spear.

Steiner told Sportskeeda Wrestling Senior Editor Bill Apter he was happy with the manner of Breakker's first main roster title victory:

"I didn't know what to expect. I've been watching stuff and Zayn's a pretty tough kid. Watching the match, my biggest thing is a lot of things up and down, sideways, whatever, the match goes, he came out the victor, got the belt, he's the champ, and that's all that matters. I'm happy." Rick Steiner on Bron Breakker's improvement

Some main roster stars were involved in the wrestling business for several years before making their first WWE appearance. In Bron Breakker's case, he had a football background before signing with the company in 2021.

As his son continues to cement his status as one of WWE's top future stars, Rick Steiner knows he can still improve:

"I mean, I can always sit back and say, 'Well, we could have done this better, work on this, work on that.' That'll be for next time. As far as I'm concerned for tonight, I thought he did great, he's the champ, and I love him." [1:49 – 2:02]

On August 12, Breakker will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Sami Zayn in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match on RAW.
