Ricochet leaving WWE and joining TNA would be "extremely cool," says popular star

Ricochet was brutally attacked on WWE RAW by Bron Breakker, which seemingly was the star's last appearance for the company. Meanwhile, TNA star Leon Slater said it would be extremely cool if the former Intercontinental Champion joined TNA Wrestling.

Ricochet's future has become one of the biggest talking points in professional wrestling, as many have weighed in on the matter. The high-flyer has reportedly expressed interest in leaving the Stamford-based promotion when his contract expires in a few weeks.

During an exclusive with Cultaholic Wrestling, TNA Wrestling's Leon Slater spoke about Ricochet's ongoing situation. The 19-year-old star expressed interest in seeing the former North American Champion in TNA if he leaves WWE in the coming weeks.

"I think that would be extremely cool, as I think a lot of people from my generation, we kind of grew up on Ricochet. Him and [Will Ospreay] really introduced this new style that we all kind of mold ourselves into. So to get to work with him would be incredible for sure, and I think more than anything, it’d be a real kick up the ass for us all in the X-Division to really up our game because Ricochet, no word of a lie, is one of the greatest high flyers of all time and one of the greatest to ever do this style that we do. So especially for me, I think it’d be a great challenge, and I think he’d be someone that I’d really want to step up to and up my game to face," Slater said. [H/T - Fightful]

Ricochet was the inaugural WWE Speed Champion

Ricochet is no stranger to carrying championship gold in the Stamford-based promotion, as he was the second-ever NXT North American Champion. Later, he also captured the United States and Intercontinental Championships on WWE's main roster.

However, he was stuck in limbo for a while before Triple H's new regime introduced a new division. Ricochet quickly rose to the top and became the inaugural WWE Speed Champion. The King of Kings praised the star after he won the brand-new title.

The 35-year-old star might be leaving the company in the coming weeks, and he lost the Speed Title to Andrade during the show's tapings on Friday Night SmackDown. It will be interesting to see what the former Speed Champion does following his exit from the Titanland.
