Ricochet reacts to viral video with SmackDown star from outside WWE 6 years ago
Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ricochet recently reacted to his viral video alongside SmackDown star Giovanni Vinci. The clip is from six years ago.
The 35-year-old joined World Wrestling Entertainment in 2018 and started performing for the company's developmental brand, NXT, where he won the North American Championship. Ricochet went to the main roster in 2019 and made a huge name for his high-flying moves. The star won several titles, including the United States Championship, the Intercontinental Championship, and the Speed Championship, before partying ways with the Stamford-based promotion in June 2024.
On X/Twitter, Ricochet recently noticed and reacted to his viral video from six years ago, in which he was seen alongside Giovanni Vinci and former WWE Superstar Killian Dain outside of the promotion.
The former Intercontinental Champion wrote that Scotty 2 Hotty took them to the San Antonio Zoo, where they were invited to play tug of war with a lioness.
"So many people tagged me in this video haha @TheScottGarland took a couple of us to the @SanAntonioZoo. @VinciWWE and @DamoMackle and myself were invited to play tug of war with this Lioness! She had the angle on us. Super fun time!" he wrote.
Former WWE star wants to face Ricochet in TNA
During an edition of The Angle Podcast, former WWE Superstar Top Dolla, also known as AJ Francis, said he wanted Ricochet to sign with TNA instead of AEW.
Dolla said he wanted to defend his Digital Media Championship against the former Intercontinental Champion.
"We would have an absolute banger of a match. He’s so good. He’s one of the greatest, if not in my opinion, the greatest in-ring guy ever. The way he sells, the way he moves, the moves that he does, it’s undeniable. They say the rumors are he’s going to AEW, that’s what I’ve heard. They say that on the interwebs. But I would love if I got a chance to defend this against Ricochet because in my opinion, there’s nobody better,” Francis said.
It will be interesting to see if Ricochet will sign a contract with All Elite Wrestling or Total Nonstop Action.
