Rikishi finally breaks silence after Jey Uso loses the Intercontinental Championship on WWE RAW

Rikishi shared his thoughts on Jey Uso losing the Intercontinental Championship on last week's WWE RAW. The Hall of Famer's words made it clear that he disagrees with the company's decision to take the title off his son after just four weeks.

Jey Uso's IC Title reign lasted only 28 days, as he was defeated by Bron Breakker on RAW last week. Breakker received slight assistance from The Bloodline as the heel faction made its presence felt on the red brand. Jacob Fatu slammed the YEET Master on the announce table while the referee was distracted, after which Bron delivered a Spear to seal the victory.

Speaking on his Off the Top podcast, Rikishi stated that Bron Breakker winning back the IC Title was too soon. The veteran added that the decision does not make sense from a business point of view as Jey Uso is one of the popular stars on the WWE roster.

"I think it was too soon. If I’m the promoter, I’m only gonna go speak business wise, you know, finally Jey had gotten his flowers with the belt that he so rightfully earned and deserved it. Now we got it on this kid here. He’s well over. Now this character, this Yeet man, is through the roof as far as notoriety. Probably selling the number one hottest merchandise, if not close to OTC, maybe surpassed it," he said.

Rikishi continued:

"From a marketing standpoint, you’re only going to do even more, better, good business if you leave that on this kid. I’m not saying that because he’s my boy. I’m not saying that. I’m speaking as a promoter now, because at the end of the day, this is what it’s about. It’s about numbers. It’s about revenues." [H/T- WrestlingNews.co]

Jey Uso got his revenge on the Bloodline on WWE SmackDown

The Bloodline once again got involved in Jey Uso's business as Solo Sikoa, and the group cost the YEET Master the Intercontinental Championship. However, Jey got his revenge on SmackDown as he helped Motor City Machine Guns win the WWE Tag Team Championship from Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa.

Jey also hugged Jimmy Uso after the match, confirming they are back on the same page. However, he still has to reconcile with Roman Reigns.

All signs point towards the OG Bloodline taking on the new Bloodline soon. However, it will be interesting to see how Jey Uso and Roman Reigns mend fences.
