WWE legend Rikishi recently took to his Instagram to make a major announcement that's sure to get the fans buzzing. The wrestling legend revealed that his independent promotion and wrestling school, KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy, was officially joining WWE's newly-announced ID Program.
A few hours back, the Stamford-based promotion announced its new ID (Independent Development) program which would provide mentorship and guidance to wrestlers from select schools. It's safe to assume the program could allow many up-and-coming wrestlers to make their WWE dreams come true, something which the official announcement of the initiative also emphasized.
Rikishi soon took to his Instagram account to reveal that his school, KnoxK Pro Wrestling Academy, was also a part of the brand-new program.
"Proud to announce west coast KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy (@knokxpro) is OFFICIALLY Part of the WWE development program," wrote Rikishi.
Apart from Rikishi's school, Booker T's Reality of Wrestling and Seth Rollins' Black and Brave Academy, among others, would also be joining hands with WWE in this ground-breaking new initiative.
Rikishi believes Jacob Fatu is destined to betray Solo Sikoa in WWE
On a recent edition of his Off the Top podcast, the WWE legend spoke about how Jacob Fatu could one day snap at The Bloodline and advised the promotion not to mess with the angle. Furthermore, he added that if the turn was executed well, fans could firmly get behind Fatu, making him one of the biggest babyfaces.
"Jacob’s going to snap one day on these guys [Bloodline]. When they show his eyes, when they show his hands together, man, he’s praying to Solo or he’s just praying that he don’t relapse. (…) I don’t mess this up with these cats right here. Once Jacob turns man, I think The [Samoan] Werewolf is gonna have the whole arena just howling man."
The Bloodline is currently gearing up to battle it out with the OG version of the stable, comprising Roman Reigns and The Usos, at Crown Jewel 2024.
