Rob Van Dam and a former General Manager make surprise appearance on WWE SmackDown

Tonight was the season premiere of WWE SmackDown. In a night filled with several surprise appearances, Rob Van Dam and a former SmackDown GM were seen among the WWE Universe during the show.

During the late 2000s, Vickie Guerrero was the General Manager of SmackDown. During this time, she was also the onscreen girlfriend of Edge. For many years, Vickie exerted her power as GM over other superstars on the roster and heavily favored her storyline boyfriend.

However, after she broke up with Edge and was fired as the GM of the blue brand, Vickie Guerrero took on a new role as a manager. She managed Dolph Ziggler for a couple of years before getting dumped by him too. Vickie's reign is forever remembered for her loud screeching screams that could give anybody a headache. This made her one of the greatest heel GMs in history.

After she left WWE, she made a few appearances over the years but never had a consistent onscreen role for the past 10 years. Tonight was the season premiere of SmackDown on the USA Network. As a result, several past and present stars were in attendance for tonight's show. Among those present was WWE legend Rob Van Dam who was in attendance for the special occasion. Even Vickie Guerrero made an appearance in the audience for this massive season premiere.
