Rob Van Dam reveals change to his WWE return plans; what's next

WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam is once again working with WWE, and new details are being revealed on this latest run. He recently opened up on the same.

The Whole F'N Show was one of the biggest stars of the ECW era, the Monday Night Wars, and the periods that followed. The legend can still go strong in the ring and was recently present on NXT in the ECW Arena.

NXT 2300 saw Van Dam talking backstage to Kelani Jordan when he was attacked by Wes Lee on his way to the ring to face Je'Von Evans. RVD's music later hit during the match as he came out to assist Evans with the win.

Speaking on his 1 Of A Kind podcast, RVD opened up about how he was welcomed to NXT. The ECW Original then teased a showdown with The Kardiak Kid and revealed how the legends are being treated by the newcomers.

"Yeah, it felt really welcoming. Everybody from top to bottom was super cool, and everyone went out of their way to make me feel welcome... if and when I want to come back, which I got some unsettled business now with Wes. ... They all seem really legit, it's really cool. Everybody's happy... they all grew up watching my generation of wrestlers, so they're really stoked to have us there, working with them. They value our perspective, just it's really cool," Rob Van Dam said. [From 12:47 to 13:37]

Mr. Monday Night seemed to reveal that plans for his return were changed but for his well-being.

"Well, I will... just like always, we are unfiltered here at the RVD, uh... But, um... but, um... more time is needed to get more information, but basically I think that you would not be wrong if you thought that maybe there was some plans that got changed, and if so, that it was done for the betterment of me, and for my well-being. So, let me just leave it there for now, and I will definitely talk more about this when I have more to talk about, and hopefully everybody that can relate will be glad that I talked about it, but... little early right now," RVD said. RVD hopes he'll get to fully reveal the gear he had made for NXT 2300, ideally on an upcoming WWE show, but he needs a little more time.
