Roman Reigns advertised for upcoming WWE show following SummerSlam return; brand status seemingly revealed
Roman Reigns made his long overdue WWE return this past weekend at SummerSlam. It seems that he is now ready to dive back into the story with The Bloodline.
Reigns is currently being advertised for this week's episode of SmackDown and is on the main banner for the show, which also includes Cody Rhodes. It seems that the face of the company is back, and he will now be known as The Original Tribal Chief.
Reigns appeared at the end of WWE SummerSlam and hit Solo Sikoa with a Superman Punch and a Spear to cost him the match against Cody Rhodes, where he was hoping to become WWE Champion.
Rhodes and Reigns have their own history after The American Nightmare defeated Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania XL Night Two in April.
This was the last match that Reigns wrestled before taking a hiatus from the company and making his return this past weekend.
Where does Roman Reigns fit in on WWE SmackDown?
Roman Reigns has been called out by Solo Sikoa several times throughout his hiatus. Now that The Usos' younger brother is calling himself The Tribal Chief, it's quite clear where he needs to put himself.
Reigns is the babyface in this feud, and he knows that Sikoa has made his own Bloodline in his absence which is loyal to him. Since he has returned alone, Cody Rhodes could be in his corner. Moreover, Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman are reportedly ready to return after their attacks at the hands of The Bloodline in Reigns' absence.
Reigns wasn't part of the 2024 WWE Draft, and it was unclear where he would make his return, but it seems this has been revealed now that he is being advertised for this week's episode of SmackDown.
