Roman Reigns' assault on The Bloodline was a huge mistake, according to ex-WWE writer (Exclusive)
Former WWE head writer Vince Russo discussed Roman Reigns possibly derailing the new Bloodlione's momentum. The star returned to SummerSlam after a brief hiatus after WrestleMania XL.
Reign laid waste to The Bloodline last week on SmackDown. The Original Tribal Chief destroyed Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa with a steel chair during the final segment of the show, sending a strong message to their leader, Solo Sikoa.
This week on Legion of RAW, Russo detailed that the new version of the stable would always be second fiddle. The ex-WWE writer felt they weren't given enough time to develop, and now Roman Reigns has returned and destroyed whatever momentum the group had.
"The normal fans, the normal people like you and I, are in the minority. It doesn't matter because the marks that watch this show are simply going to put everything and anything over. We said it months and months and months ago, this new Bloodline was definitely a step back from the original Bloodline. They were the B-Team. They were nothing more. There was no heat, we never got to know these guys on an individual basis. Now, Roman has laid them out [on] back-to-back shows," Russo said. [From 15:35 onwards]
After weeks of domination, The Bloodline is finally on the back foot with the return of Roman Reigns.
It will be interesting to see how Solo responds to this threat from his cousin in the coming weeks on SmackDown.
