Roman Reigns breaks silence following the death of his uncle Afa Anoa'i

WWE Superstar, Roman Reigns is currently dealing with the heartbreaking loss of his uncle, Afa Anoa'i. The Original Tribal Chief took to social media to pay tribute to his famous ancestor.

Afa, one-half of the legendary tag team, The Wild Samoans, had been suffering from health issues over the last few months. His son, Samu Anoa'i, took to Facebook today to announce that the Hall of Famer had passed away at the age of 81.

Roman Reigns, who recently lost his father Sika, broke his silence following the death of his legendary uncle and took to X (fka Twitter) to pay him a handsome tribute. The Head of the Table talked about Afa and Sika reuniting in heaven.

"Our family has suffered another great loss with the passing of my uncle and WWE Hall of Famer, Gataivasā Afa Amituana'i Anoa'i. We thank everyone for their support and are comforted by the fact that he now rests in peace. Afa and my father, Pola’ivao Leati Sika Anoa’I were loving brothers, the greatest tag team of their generation, and now they’re reunited together in heaven," he wrote.

Roman Reigns is scheduled for an appearance on WWE SmackDown

Roman Reigns recently made his return to WWE programming at SummerSlam after months of being away from the action. The Original Tribal Chief wasted no time in going after Solo Sikoa, who took over The Bloodline in his absence.

Reigns was also present on SmackDown last week where he single-handedly took out Solo, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa. While the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion is currently dealing with a personal loss, as of this writing, he is still scheduled for tonight's edition of SmackDown. Solo Sikoa is also expected to be present on the show.

Roman Reigns is yet to compete inside the squared circle since his loss to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40. The Head of the Table is currently outnumbered against Solo's Bloodline. However, many expect him to reunite with The Usos to take on the new avatar of the heel faction.
