Roman Reigns should challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship for a specific reason, believes 45-year-old WWE star

Roman Reigns will compete in tag team action at WWE Night of Champions, with the prospect looming that he may walk out of the Jeddah Super Dome with six titles. Elsewhere on the card, AJ Styles will wrestle Seth "Freakin" Rollins to capture the new World Heavyweight Championship.

Despite the company's attempts to push the remodeled Big Gold Belt as a significant world championship, a section of fans believe it to be a "secondary title." For the very same reason, AJ Styles believes Roman Reigns should challenge for the WHC.

In an interview with the New York Post, the veteran spoke candidly about the new belt, sharing his feelings about Roman Reigns being a double champion yet working a reduced schedule:

"Well if the Raw championship is held by Roman [Reigns], the SmackDown championship is held by Roman, then how can you argue that it’s not? We had to make a new championship because Roman holds them all. What happens if he decides to wrestle for the World Heavyweight championship? It is what it is, and we got what we got," Styles said.

The former WWE Champion continued:

"If we make the best of it, and if and when Roman does challenge [for it], we beat the brakes off of him, whomever it might be, then we’ll see what title’s secondary." [H/T - New York Post]

The Phenomenal One, however, feels he would have done the same if he was in Roman Reigns's position.

This Saturday night, the new World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned. The bout has the potential to close out what looks to be WWE's biggest show of the year in terms of the blockbuster match card.

Former WWE writer believes the new World Heavyweight Championship would be a "sexy belt" on SmackDown star

Freddie Prinze Jr. recently revealed that he would be stoked at LA Knight potentially facing Seth "Freakin" Rollins for the WHC and dethroning the latter.

The former WWE writer is rooting for The Visionary to win the gold at Night of Champions. However, he feels LA Knight could ultimately become a contender.

During their podcast Wrestling with Freddie, the Hollywood star discussed how Seth Rollins would bring prestige immediately to the new title on the red brand, while co-host Jeff Dye claimed he is not a fan of putting the belt on either Rollins or Styles.

Instead, he would prefer LA Knight to become champion, which would massively elevate the former Million Dollar Champion to main event status.

"That would be a sexy belt on LA Knight," Freddie Prinze Jr. exclaimed.

The WWE Universe is hyped at the upcoming battle between AJ Styles and Seth Rollins for the time being, with an almost equal fanbase rooting for both stars as the days near for the big fight.
