Roman Reigns is the 'chosen one' to finally beat legendary 17-time WWE champion, believes Hall of Famer
WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry recently gave his thoughts on Roman Reigns potentially beating a legendary 17-time champion in a dream match. The name in question is The Rock.
The Brahma Bull is one of the greatest names to ever step foot inside the squared circle. During his illustrious career, The Great One has won several titles, including the WWE Championship a whopping eight times.
Since The Rock returned to World Wrestling Entertainment at the start of this year, many fans wanted to see a dream match between him and Roman Reigns. That did not happen at this year's WrestleMania. However, the real-life cousins are heavily rumored to clash at next year's Show of Shows.
During an edition of the Busted Open podcast, Mark Henry said that if the biggest threat, Jacob Fatu, in The Bloodline loses to Cody Rhodes in a potential match for the Undisputed WWE Championship, then it could set up a return for The Brahma Bull.
In the same podcast, Henry mentioned that The Rock could showcase that he is the best by defeating Rhodes, before losing in a potential dream match against his real-life cousin, Roman Reigns.
"[There's a Final Boss at the end of every game] That's how I feel about The Rock. You don't let The Rock get beat until it's Roman [Reigns]. And then Roman is the one that's able to [beat The Final Boss] ... I live wrestling for that, for The Bloodline and what we got last night, I saw the potential of so many different options and there's still other people out there [in The Bloodline] than these," he said. WWE Hall of Famer believes Jacob Fatu could beat Roman Reigns
During the same edition of the Busted Open podcast, Mark Henry said that he believed Jacob Fatu could beat Roman Reigns in a potential match before going head-to-head with Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
"How about you do Roman [vs. Fatu] first [before Cody Rhodes vs. Fatu] and you give Jacob a win over Roman because of The Bloodline distracting and doing something? Now, Jacob can say to Solo that he did something that you didn't do. And it's like, 'I did beat Roman Reigns.' 'And what is that supposed to mean? I'm not The Tribal Chief no more?' 'No, no, no, you're The Tribal Chief.' Bro, I'm telling you, the drama," Henry said.
It will be interesting to see what the Stamford-based promotion has planned for The Rock's impending return to WWE television.
