Roman Reigns' cousin confirms he's reached out to him to appear in an outside promotion (Exclusive)
Everybody is waiting for the return of Roman Reigns - the man most deem to be the real Tribal Chief. One of his cousins confirmed that he reached out to him for an outside, non-WWE appearance.
On the SummerSlam Preview and Pre-Show on Sportskeeda Wrestling's YouTube channel, host Joe Lowry interviewed Afa Anoa'i Jr. - the cousin of Roman Reigns, The Usos, Solo Sikoa, and Jacob Fatu. Afa runs a promotion called Battlefield Pro Wrestling.
When he was asked by a viewer which member of the current WWE roster he would like to see in his Battlefield promotion, Afa Jr. named Roman Reigns. He said it was the obvious choice and he already reached out to him for an appearance. As of now, they're just waiting for the right timing for it to happen:
"Anyone? I'd bring Roman [Reigns]. You'd have to bring Roman. It's a long time coming. We're excited to have him when he comes. When he's ready to jump in the ring and start training and stuff. I've already invited him, so we're just trying to get the timing right now." (51:48-52:04)

Afa Jr. was asked if he had met Roman Reigns since WrestleMania 40
Afa Jr. was asked whether he had met or spoken to Reigns since WrestleMania 40 and he confirmed that he did. However, he mentioned that there was no talk about his return to WWE and that when they meet it's always family first.
Afa Jr. grew up with Reigns and several other cousins and mentioned how they were always competitive, especially with sports. Considering that Reigns' father and Afa Jr.'s uncle Sika passed away recently, we can only imagine that the most recent time they connected wasn't under positive circumstances.
As always, our thoughts are with the Anoa'i family regarding the passing of the legendary Sika.
